Time to meet Little Fockers

It's been awhile since I've posted (sorry about that), but I had a good reason. The important thing is now I'm back and there's a movie coming out soon that I can't wait to hear more about! Sneak peak anyone?

Meet the Parents (2000), starring Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, was one of the greatest movies of Stiller's career. Since its release almost nine years ago it's been one of those movies no one minds watching again and again on TBS reruns. Back when comedy didn't involve Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill, this movie made people hysterical with the humorous encounters between Gaylord "Greg" Focker (Stiller) and soon to be father-in-law Jack Byrnes (De Niro). Four years after the release of the first movie, Stiller hit home again with Meet the Fockers (2004). This time director Jay Roach decided to cast Barbra Streisand and Dustin Hoffman as the parents of Greg Focker. You will remember all of the awkward moments between the two families, and the cute little baby with the greatest first word of all time. If so, you will also note that this side splitting comedy was incredible. So good apparently, they are at it again.

A new installment of the Meet the Parents series, Little Fockers, is in post production, which will hopefully be hitting theaters in the summer of 2010. This time the cast is growing and it's bound to be better with new faces and new production staff. Actresses Jessica Alba and Uma Thurman are rumored to play roles in this film. Director Paul Weitz who has directed movies such as American Pie, Down to Earth, and upcoming movie Cirque du Freak, will hopefully make this one worthy to add to the list of great Stiller movies. Honestly, the combination of Hoffman, Stiller, and De Niro just make for a great movie overall, but don't forget Owen Wilson. I'm proud to say Wilson is one of my favorite actors and is part of the reason I love these movies so much. Unfortunately, Raven-Symoné also plays part in the new movie, but hopefully she won't ruin it's charm. This is one detail I'm not too pleased about.

If you want more info. on the upcoming movie, watch this VIDEO! Plus this guy has a hilarious accent, so it may just be really amusing.

Disgruntled Ducks fan gets refund for disappointment

September 3, 2009 marked a start to a hopeful football season for the University of Oregon Ducks, coaches, and fans. After the star running back, LeGarrett Blount, decided to punch Boise State's Byron Hout and got himself suspended for the rest of the season, fans were clearly angry. Oregon lost the game 19-8, which was a disappointment to everyone who was hoping for a successful season and Bowl Champion Series win. It isn't just the game that has people's heads turning in the direction of the Duck's coach Chip Kelley though.

A fan and alumni of U of Oregon sent a letter to Kelley explaining his embarrassment for the way everything was handled on game day. In his letter, he attached an invoice listing his expenses for the trip he made to see it. Expenses turned out to be $434, and the alumni wanted all of it back. What is so impressive about the entire situation is that Kelley signed a check himself and sent it off to the angry fan. Needless to say, the furious fan then became a respectful one. Sending his check back in the mail, he enclosed a thank you note as well.

It's not very often you hear about the angry actions fans make after poor athletic efforts or surprising issues that arise at games, but this one differs from all the rest. Usually when a coach receives hate mail it's just thrown out never to be looked at again. It's Kelley's actions with this letter that show there is still hope in American football. We can't rely on every player to be at his best behavior each game, or every team to be at their best every play, but we can still have hope that the coaches know what they are doing. Kelley has showed fans that as a coach, he cares what people think of his team and he knows how important it is to other people that his team strives for greatness.

If anything, this brings back some prospective for fans who are clouded by their one main goal: to be victorious at every game. Stuff happens. It takes a humble and respectable man to be classy in his attempt to keep peoples' hope alive. Kelley still has no comment about what took place between the two, but he has inspired many in the football realm. Whether or not the Ducks win another game this season now depends on the rest of the team and the inspiration of this man. I can see what Kelley could be thinking at this point. Not only does he have a stadium full of people to entertain and make happy, but now he has a locker room full of uncertain athletes. It's up to him to inspire and lead them to greatness. Now all Oregon fans can hope that the team will pull it together and their coach can be as just as smooth on the field as off.

Odom and Kardashian: Could they be making a hasty decision?

Could all of the rumors about Khloe, the least popular Kardashian sister, and L.A. Laker's Lamar Odom be true? It's difficult to tell whether or not the two will last, but the rush for the wedding soirée makes many skeptical. The wedding is set for Sunday at the Bel-Aire residence of friend and music industry genius Irving Azoff in L.A. With a guest list of about 250 friends and family, invites to Odom's teammates, E! stars, and of course other famous family members have been sent. Kobe Bryant, step brother Brody Jenner, Ryan Seacrest, and Kathie Lee Gifford are just a few names that may be filling the seats at the Kardashian-Odom wedding this weekend.

Many are probably wondering why there is such a rush to marry. Is she pregnant? Is there a sweet money deal involved? Who's in need of the attention from this publicity stunt? Well, apparently the two are just madly in love. Hard to believe, but the 29-year-old basketball star is just ready to settle down seriously. In 2006 he lost his third child to SIIDS. It's only been eight years since he asked his ex-fiancee to marry him, which never actually happened. The two had been dating since high school and he could just never commit. Now, three years since the death of his youngest child, what can we expect from the talented man?

Issues with his personal life have affected his game before, and even now it's a wonder how serious Khloe Kardashian can be in his life. With the stunts she pulls in her new show, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, it really makes it difficult to believe that she will be just the support he needs to excel. If you aren't a basketball fan, then you might not know that Odom's team took the NBA Playoff championship title this year, marking their 15th title.

It's not that I have a problem with the Kardashian, it's that I have a problem with relationships throwing off an athlete's game. There are so many issues already in Odom's past, and with such a quick move to get married, it makes me think that this probably won't last long and his game may be affected. Here's an idea: Why don't the Kardashians stop ruining people's lives! Yes, this was overdramatic, but my love of basketball makes me feel as though this is a direct hit on my emotions.

Early congratulations to Khloe and Lamar!

Twilight's co-stars better on screen romance or off?

It's not surprising the two lead actors in Twilight share some passionate on-screen moments together; and by now, the world knows about the off-screen relationship that has teen girls crying in their pillows. A recent issue of OK! Magazine featured the headline, bright, yellow, and all-capped, "Rob & Kristen ENGAGED!" Clever, but so false. OK! really knows how to grab readers' attention. It's okay teeny-boppers, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are far from marriage, it's only their cute references to each other than can confuse people. The two reportedly speak of each other as husband and wife. Really, it's rather quite cute though; acting like head-over-heels in love teenagers isn't immature at all.

In all reality, while the two might be average actors, only slightly resembling the true romance of Stephanie Meyers' novels, Rob and Kristen have gone way too far in mixing work with play. Rob has stated before that Kristen is one of the best actresses of this time; one of the reasons he signed on to play the role of Edward Cullen in the series of movies. Unfortunately, we can't help but to think that Rob is a little more than biased in his opinion. No one can truly say that the first movie, Twilight, was dead on. Anticipating one of the best movies of all time, from a teen girls perspective of course, viewers were or should have been disappointed with the poor acting, awkward scenes, and blatantly missing story line. If you hadn't read the books and weren't able to fill in all of the holes with a better story, then you REALLY got suckered.

So here is the question: What can we expect from the lovey-dovey couple in the next installment? It's a wonder whether the relationship the two has can create a better love story, or just be as awkward as the last. There's a slim chance that this movie will out-suck the last -thank you Taylor Lautner for making this film much, much better- but no one should expect too much from it. Of course, it wouldn't be too risky to expect a better film from Chris Weitz, director of New Moon, compared to Catherine Hardwicke, director of Twilight. If anything, we can all look forward to good CGis and transformations. Amazing werewolf scenes should be expected as seen from the trailers, so maybe that alone will make up for poor acting.

In the end, if Rob and Kristen ruin this movie, as they did the last, then there will be enough reason to abandon the Twilight saga as a whole. There's really nothing much left to do, but hope for the best and watch the film in November, if not for the story, then for the sake Lautner's new physique.

Black Eyed Peas once again charged with being unoriginal

Will.i.am and Fergie are two of the biggest stars in the music scene. Their music is virtually everywhere, played everyday, and recently Will.i.am played a rather ridiculous role in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He's not a bad actor, but apparently he's a bad song writer. The two are now drowning in their third law suit of the year for a copyright infringement on Fergie's song "Voodoo Doll" off of her album The Duchess.

Ever heard of a band called Groundation? Yeah, me neither. According to several sources, Groundation's "Each One Teach One" was pretty much edited slightly and retitled for Fergie. It's not easy to knock down such a fabulous combo of performers, especially since there can only be so many songs before some of them begin to sound similar. Not to mention, lyrics aren't all that original. Thoughts can only be worded so many ways. Ideas can be conveyed until a point when they begin to say the same thing. Feelings have few ways of being expressed.

Okay, enough of that. Unfortunately, the band is also caught up in a lawsuit concerning their 'Black, Blue, and You' tour which hit cities all over the country in 2007. One of their employees filed the lawsuit three weeks ago, complaining that she fell through a flight of stairs during a performance in Burbank, California. The woman reported she had permanent injuries from the fall. Before this tragic incident, DJ Adam Freeland, from Britain, accused the Peas of stealing his beats. According to Freeland, "Party All the Time" by the Peas had the same beat as his song "Mancry."

That's just too bad for the two hot stars. As of now, none of their lawsuits has been settled or heard more from. Good luck you two!

Megan Fox's attitude sucks the life out of her new movie

Beauty, skill, and a rather healthy sexual appetite, three characteristics that can make an entire room of men so uncomfortable you could probably see the awkwardness in the air. Fortunately, Megan Fox possesses all three of these and then tops it all off with the amazing bod every woman would die for. Lately she's been given a lot of negativity in the press because how she presents herself. In a recent issue of Rolling Stone Magazine, Fox portrays herself as being prone to angrily flipping out. Her attitude hasn't exactly proved any better after three crew members working with her on the Transformers movies wrote a nasty letter calling Fox a "graceless, classless, and unfriendly bitch." Not only that, but the crew also slipped in the actress was "dumb-as-a-rock."

Another attack has sprung out about Fox's distorted thumb. It's odd; it's disproportionate; and quite honestly, it's uncomfortable to look at. TMZ has done a great job pointing out this abnormality, but can anyone blame them? Just today, E! news released an interview with the actress while she was promoting her new man-eating movie, Jennifer's Body, where Fox looks so not into it. The entire time she's looking away and fidgeting. A couple of times she even contradicts herself in other comments she's made to several media sources. She even ventures to insult reporter Ashlan Gorse after her comment on women's power over men. The entire time Fox looks completely uninterested and unamused. At this point it really becomes difficult to understand why someone who has chosen a career in the public eye could really be THIS bothered by the attention. Come on Megan- people are attacking you because you've become an easy target.

"Look; she's so uneasy about everything, perfectly vulnerable. Let's call her out." People may be waiting anxiously for the release of her new film, but these people are most likely teenage boys and young girls who think this movie might actually be interesting. After all, Megan Fox does play a man slaughtering temptress. Just FYI, Fox also stated in her interview that she was surprised by the turn out for the promotion. Even she has little hope for her movie. Just goes to show she really isn't as ambitious as some would care to think.

Have some faith Megan Fox, at least we liked you in Transformers.

Obama knows what he's talking about

In case you've missed all of the ridiculous headlines Kanye West has found himself in this past week, then here is the update about one of the best moments found on the web:

When everyone thought the only leak of President Obama calling Kanye West a jack-ass would be an audio clip, CNN thought it wise to let loose the tape that has people all over the U.S. nodding in agreement. Although some would beg to say that it was inappropriate, probably not something the leader of our country should be saying, no one can honestly deny that he was accurate in his statement. The video, which can be found all over the web, is both a reality check to the artist and a cool depiction of our president. He has opinions and he knows how to verbalize them quite well. It was easy to see Obama's laid back style as he grinned, turned his head, and sighed "he's a jack ass", clearly for the anchor and crew to hear. Obviously, Obama would never mean to actually put that on the air, but the very fact that he said it just makes his personality more to appreciate.

Kanye's actions at the VMA's last Sunday were certainly not the first of his idiotic endeavors in the past several years; unfortunately, this was the most pathetic. Seriously Kanye: You're idea on who should have won female video of the year is not that important to us! In fact, if you look at his quick apology on the Jay Leno show, making for a crazy mass audience, and the way he has popped up all over the place in a media frenzy, you'd have to call me crazy not to think that someone was begging for attention. Now, let's also look back at the VMA's and wonder how much input Kanye really had in the production. Quite honestly, none. He may have been nominated for an award that evening, but even now it's difficult to remember.

One suggestion is left: Check out the video of Obama completely owning Kanye, laugh, and then walk away proud that no one is taking his ego seriously.

Kanye, the voice of our generation, or the voice of a complete idiot?

Not okay with OK Magazine's new Beauty Editor

As if the editors at OK! Magazine weren't legit enough to find out what the newest, hottest, and most beautiful trends of the season were, they just had to add Kim Kardashian to the team. On September 14 Kardash was blessed with the new job as beauty editor. It pretty much enables her to do all of the ridiculous things she already does: dressing up and hitting high fashion parties. The celeb, most commonly known for her risqué video and television show on E!, was accustomed to giving advice on her blog already. She covered topics from clothing to make-up, all of course for her die-hard, Kim Kardash-loving fans. You know, the ones that actually followed her blogs. Now, the self made star can actually claim her words as good advice and allow her to reach out to an even larger audience. Congratulations Kim! For the sake of all OK! Mag readers, let's hope you observe beauty better than you flaunt fashion.

Kardashian is covering all of the highs of fashion week in New York. Her latest blog, written September 16, highlights her first assignment, Jill Stuart fashion show. Happy and clad in a black Robert Rodriguez fitted dress, Kim took on behind-the-scenes work, buddying up to celebrities and models of course, which she generously posted photos and info. from on her blog. The 29 year-old seems to be getting pretty lucky after her break up with football star Reggie Bush. Good luck Kim! Fashionistas world wide are rooting for you!
