Time to meet Little Fockers

It's been awhile since I've posted (sorry about that), but I had a good reason. The important thing is now I'm back and there's a movie coming out soon that I can't wait to hear more about! Sneak peak anyone?

Meet the Parents (2000), starring Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, was one of the greatest movies of Stiller's career. Since its release almost nine years ago it's been one of those movies no one minds watching again and again on TBS reruns. Back when comedy didn't involve Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill, this movie made people hysterical with the humorous encounters between Gaylord "Greg" Focker (Stiller) and soon to be father-in-law Jack Byrnes (De Niro). Four years after the release of the first movie, Stiller hit home again with Meet the Fockers (2004). This time director Jay Roach decided to cast Barbra Streisand and Dustin Hoffman as the parents of Greg Focker. You will remember all of the awkward moments between the two families, and the cute little baby with the greatest first word of all time. If so, you will also note that this side splitting comedy was incredible. So good apparently, they are at it again.

A new installment of the Meet the Parents series, Little Fockers, is in post production, which will hopefully be hitting theaters in the summer of 2010. This time the cast is growing and it's bound to be better with new faces and new production staff. Actresses Jessica Alba and Uma Thurman are rumored to play roles in this film. Director Paul Weitz who has directed movies such as American Pie, Down to Earth, and upcoming movie Cirque du Freak, will hopefully make this one worthy to add to the list of great Stiller movies. Honestly, the combination of Hoffman, Stiller, and De Niro just make for a great movie overall, but don't forget Owen Wilson. I'm proud to say Wilson is one of my favorite actors and is part of the reason I love these movies so much. Unfortunately, Raven-Symoné also plays part in the new movie, but hopefully she won't ruin it's charm. This is one detail I'm not too pleased about.

If you want more info. on the upcoming movie, watch this VIDEO! Plus this guy has a hilarious accent, so it may just be really amusing.

  1. Very cool. Your remark about Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill was a little sarcastic for my liking but still very cool stuff. Except for the Raven tidbit. Why would they do that??
