Is Tiger Woods giving men a bad name?

What is it about men and the conniving ways they deceive their girlfriends and wives. Tiger Woods has unfortunately been slung all over the news lately, but it’s his “cheat sheet” that really evoked the question: What is with men and cheating?

First of all, I can’t say this is a fact, but I’m pretty sure there would be hundreds of guys out there who would be as lucky to have such a beautiful wife as Elin Nordegren. The Swedish model and pro golfer were married in 2004, followed three years later by a daughter, Sam Alexis. In 2008, the Woods’ were once again blessed with another child; this time, Charlie Axel.

It’s a shame that with such a beautiful family, impressive career, and countless endorsements, this man would still want more. So, as most celebrity couples must succumb to, the three scandalous women that Woods has reportedly had affairs with have spoken, and actually, it’s all quite interesting. Rachel Uchitel, Jaimee Grubbs, Kalika Moquin all have their ways and reasons for dealing with the situation, but Grubbs has the most interesting one in my opinion, claiming that she has had 20 sexual encounters with Woods since April 2007. Well, that’s specific! Moquin is completely denying any claims, apparently to in hopes to save her job (and possibly her reputation). Uchitel was reported to have a five-month relationship with Woods, which included a time when Woods had her flown out to Australia to stay with him on his visit. However, she is also denying the claims and was paid $1million to cancel the press conference she had scheduled. Of course, she also tried to claim she didn’t want any attention from these scandalous accusations.

This actually doesn’t make me feel bad for anyone in this situation though. I’ve been a faithful fan since I was a little 10-year-old girl trying to master my own golf skills and honestly, I’m a little used to hearing about these famous guys do all the wrong things. So, once again, I’m posing my question: What is with men and cheating?

So tell me: Is it all men? Do they find something in it that makes them do it more than once? And more importantly, is there a reason that makes them think it’s okay? Oh, and don’t stop there. I mean cheating is a two-way thing and not only men do it. Although, I can see why a woman would have an affair with Tiger Woods (but Elin needs to hold onto her man). Oh, the mysteries of relationships.

  2. Tiger Woods cannot be perfect, but its sad to say that his "perfection" was ruined by such a scandal. At least he has a reason now for why he wasn't so great this year, just think if it wasn't for the car accident we would have never speculated anything. I bet some celebrities wish they were as sneaky as Woods, but he also proved that Karma can hit anybody.

  3. I think that asking if all men cheat just because Tiger Woods' situation has been brought to light is a little hasty. I think he also should be commended on the way he is handling the situation, and while I'm a little disappointed in his character, it wont discourage me from still being a fan of Tiger Woods when it comes to how the man plays golf. As everyone else seems to agree, I believe his private life should be kept separate from his life on the course.

  4. It's not just Tiger though... =/ I guess my perfect vision of him was just a little damaged after this. His golf game has nothing to do with this you're both very right. It just makes me sad that I can't think of Tiger as flawless anymore.

  5. I think men in general have given themselves a bad name. It's a shame when a man commits adultery on a wife that has always been faithful. Why would he want to tamper with the beautiful relationship he has with his children. This is obviously going to cause inner turmoil to develop and maybe some resentment from the children. Why can't men think with their brains instead of what's in their pants? And if someone as stunning/gorgeous/sexy as Elin Nordegren gets cheated on, what kind of message does that send to all the average looking women? It's evident that if a women gets cheated on, it's not because she wasn't hot enough, it's because the men was obviously a unappreciative JERK.
