Lady Gaga - Kanye Tour Epic Fail

November 10th was going to be a big day in Phoenix; it was going to be the kick off to Lady Gaga and Kanye West's North American Fame Kills Tour, until West revealed that he will be taking a break for a while to figure things out. Apparently the Jay Leno interview didn't settle well with him, but hopefully it's taught him a lesson. (One beyond Obama calling him a jack ass). Check out West on Jay Leno if you missed it. In my opinion, Leno asking about how Kanye's mom would have felt about the Taylor Swift situation was the best thing for him. Even if this was just another publicity stunt, as some have ventured to accuse West of pulling again, it still had to have some effect on his stupid actions. The entire interview seemed awkward and insincere, but good for Kanye. He's actually saying nice things so he definitely deserves a pat on the back. Was Leno crossing the line asking about his dead mother? That's a topic for a completely whole other day.

The real news is Lady Gaga and Kane West will not be going on tour together. Why is that? Well, it's a little difficult to understand right now and it seems like no one will explain much soon either. Gaga apparently feels sorry for West, commenting on his poor judgement to be more of a small "random moment". She also ventured to say people could sometimes get carried away with all of the gossip, but is this really the case? Sure, our society has slowly become one of celebrity-ogling, obsessive fans; the fact of the matter is this isn't the first time he's done something like this, so Gaga is making no sense right now! His trending gossip will only make better for tickets sales. Either she doesn't want to go on tour with him because he's known for making a fool of himself, or she feels so bad for him she would hate for him to also go on tour with a woman who is confused about her own body parts -- yes this is in reference to her supposed male organ.

Honestly, I think Kanye has just figured out that his games are no longer tolerated. If this was a publicity stunt, he'd only be using it to up ticket sales for this now canceled tour. Instead, all purchases made will be refunded in full. Many people, even Kanye fans, will see that this cancellation is actually good for the "voice of this generation". If he's smart, he will use this time to contemplate the massacre he made of an important moment in a colleagues life, and perhaps even have enough time to think about his earlier scandals. Sorry Lady Gaga, even if you do feel sorry for West, you're outfits still scare many of us and we don't feel bad for your tour.

What is with great music and lame artists that make it? When will there ever be a happy medium?

  1. Interesting take. A little too cynical for my taste but still interesting. I don't really think Leno should have asked that question even if it did put him in his place. I like what you had to say about Lady Gaga though, that was great.
